In its last outing, Marshall played a tough game against Virginia Tech but ultimately lost by 17 points.
But the Thundering Herd have another chance to upset a Power Four opponent before getting into their Sun Belt schedule in a few weeks.
Marshall (1-1) will take on Ohio State (2-0), which has beaten two Group of Five opponents by a combined margin of 108-6 in its first two games.

Marshall vs. Ohio State Prediction
I predict Ohio State will win but Marshall will cover the spread at +39.5 points. I also predict the game will go Over 52 points.
Ohio State has scored at least 52 points in its last two appearances, and there’s little reason to think the Buckeyes won’t keep scoring at a high clip – though I’m not sure they’ll get to 50 points this time around. But that offensive unit is why it’s pretty obvious in my mind that they’ll win this matchup.
I do believe Marshall won’t be as easy to defeat as Akron and Western Michigan were for Ohio State.
Three quarterbacks have already seen the field for Marshall, and Stone Earle was the team’s primary QB against Virginia Tech. But no matter who’s behind center for the Thundering Herd, I’m making this pick because of Marshall’s defense. I like what I saw from that unit against Virginia Tech, and I think Marshall can give Ohio State’s offense some problems.
I project Ohio State will end up winning 42-14.
