Welcome to the 2021 FCS Jersey Countdown.
Leading up to Week 0 games on Aug. 28, HERO Sports is going to name the best returning FCS player by jersey number, 99-0. Due to rosters being updated at different times for teams across the country and to keep things consistent, jersey numbers are based on the 2020 fall-2021 spring season.

47: Ryan Greenhagen, LB (Sr.) — Fordham
Greenhagen has garnered All-American honors since his freshman season in 2018. The HERO Sports Freshman All-American totaled 65 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and eight sacks.
As a HERO Sports Sophomore All-American in 2019, Greenhagen made plays all over the field with 123 total tackles (83 solo), 18.5 TFLs, 4.5 sacks, and eight quarterback hurries. Greenhagen had double-digit tackles in each of the first six games, including 10 against FBS Ball State.
The respect for Greenhagen’s abilities was shown in the spring season when he was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, a Stats Perform Third Team All-American, and a HERO Sports First Team All-American despite playing in only three games and recording 22 tackles.
The 6-foot-1, 235-pounder will be a monster again this fall with a full schedule. He is ranked the fifth-best returning linebacker in the FCS.
