21: Karl Mofor, RB (Sr.) — UAlbany
Mofor has been a standout for UAlbany since his true freshman season in 2017 when he ran for 555 yards and six TDs.
The two-star high school recruit followed that up with 596 yards and another five TDs in 2018. Mofor’s junior season was when he arrived on the national scene.
The Great Danes made the playoffs for the first time since 2011 behind an explosive, balanced offense. Mofor ran for 1,290 yards and 10 touchdowns on 264 attempts. He also caught 32 passes for 319 yards and two scores.
The 5-foot-9, 229-pounder was named to the All-CAA First Team and earned HERO Sports Second Team All-American honors.
UAlbany played in only four games in the spring of 2021. Mofor led the conference with 115 rushing yards per game, totaling 460 on 114 rushes. He scored two rushing touchdowns and added a receiving TD.
Mofor garnered Second Team All-Conference honors along with being named to the STATS Perform All-American Second Team.
Mofor runs with power and has great balance when shedding tacklers. He may not be a burner, but Mofor has solid cutting ability to make defenders miss. The well-rounded running back enters this season a HERO Sports Preseason Third Team All-American and the No. 8 returning running back.
