45: Aubrey Miller Jr., LB (Sr.) — Jackson State
Miller was a four-star recruit by 247Sports and the No. 13 outside linebacker in the 2017 recruiting class. After signing with Missouri, he saw action right away as a true freshman. But after a few seasons of contributing as a special teams player and backup linebacker, plus being slowed down by injuries, he decided to transfer.
Miller joined Jackson State and had a standout debut season in the spring.
In just five games played, the 6-foot-2, 225-pounder totaled 51 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks. Miller joined fellow linebacker Keonte Hampton on the All-SWAC First Team as the two were No. 1 and No. 2 in tackles in the conference. Hampton ended with 57 tackles.
With the two elite linebackers and some more talent coming in, Jackson State looks to improve on its 26.0 points allowed a game (52nd in the FCS) from the spring to compete in a loaded SWAC title race.
