Terrell Allen Commits To Tulane
Former Tennessee State defensive end and 2023 Buck Buchanan Award winner Terrell Allen announced his commitment to Tulane earlier this week.
Allen was set for another big season for the Tigers after totaling 65 tackles, 14.5 sacks, and 28 tackles for loss last fall. But he entered the portal just before the window closed.
Tennessee State, who will be a Big South-OVC contender, finished 6-5 last fall after a 6-2 start.
D2 All-American Dwayne McGee Commits To Mercer
Mercer added a dynamic transfer from the D2 ranks, receiving a commitment from Lenoir-Rhyne RB Dwayne McGee.
Lenoir-Rhyne head coach Mike Jacobs was hired as Mercer’s new HC this offseason.
The 5-foot-8, 180-pound McGee was a four-time All-Conference selection and a two-time D2 All-American. In 40 games at Lenoir-Rhyne, he carried the ball 771 times for 4,574 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and 46 touchdowns. Last fall saw McGee average 6.8 yards per carry, totaling 1,533 rushing yards and 12 TDs.
Eli Green Commits To Iowa State
Former North Dakota State wide receiver Eli Green committed to Iowa State.
Green was going to be among the top returning FCS WRs after an electric end to last season. He tallied 45 receptions for 877 yards and three touchdowns. He entered the portal in the last week of the spring transfer window and now lands at a Power 4 school.
Former NDSU offensive coordinator Tyler Roehl and former NDSU wide receivers coach Noah Pauley are on Iowa State’s staff.
