Here you have it, folks — the Top 50 FCS recruiting classes for 2018. We combed through the more than 120 classes and 2,500 signees for a year, and this is how we see it.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Ivy League recruiting classes, and in some cases the Pioneer League’s classes, are usually not released until after the regular national signing period has ended later in the spring. We worked with current recruits to verify class commitments.
Here are a couple of things to know:
- How did we come up with our ranking list below? Simple — it’s subjective, there is no way for recruiting rankings to be an exact science — just ask the college coaches who evaluate the kids and get paid to do it. No matter how official they look, all recruiting rankings are that way. Just ask the myriad of walk-ons who come to FCS campuses and become All Americans. We combined 247Sports, Rivals, the players’ offer lists and our own thoughts to come up with our version of the FCS recruiting rankings. We provide some of their other top offers in the charts. This is our third year doing this.
- We don’t include junior college or 4-year school transfers in any of this work. This is strictly incoming high school graduates. Our list of top transfers will come later this year, post-spring football.
