Alabama earned a spot in the four-team field for the fourth times in four years of the playoff, and while they are not a top-two seed like the previous three times (No. 1 twice, No. 2 once), they are still the favorite the win another national championship. As of Monday morning, Nick Saban's team leads odds to win the ship at +200, followed closely by No. 1 seed and their Sugar Bowl opponent Clemson (+225). No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 3 Georgia are tied for third at +350.

Alabama is currently a two-point favorite over Clemson in their New Year's Day matchup in New Orleans, while Georgia and Clemson's Rose Bowl matchup is a pick 'em.
