Last year's winner of the Walter Payton Award, Briscoe would be the second player in FCS history to win the award twice (Appalachian State QB Armanti Edwards, 2008-09) if he were to take home the hardware again this season.
Through the second round of the FCS playoffs, Briscoe has 4,398 yards and 41 touchdowns, completing 286 of 499 passes (57.3 percent) and throwing 12 interceptions. He threw for fewer than 300 yards only twice in 2017, with four 400-plus yard games and two 500-plus yard games, as well as seven 4-touchdown games and two 5-touchdown games. He also rushed for three touchdowns.

South Dakota's dual-threat QB put together a stellar campaign after transferring from Minnesota.
Streveler totaled 4,134 passing yards and 32 touchdowns on the season, completing 316 of 481 attempts (65.7 percent) with just 8 interceptions. He also led South Dakota on the ground with 168 carries for 720 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 55.4 yards per game and 4.3 yards per carry.
He led the nation with 373.4 total yards per game.

The junior wide receiver put together an impressive 2017 campaign, catching 115 passes for 1,499 yards (136.3 per game) with seven touchdown grabs, averaging 13 yards per catch. He also scored a 42 yard touchdown run on his only carry of the season.
Doss will look to be the first WR since 2015 (Cooper Kupp) and only the third wide receiver ever (Villanova's Brian Finneran won in 1997) to win the award.
